Elementary Announcements

March 23
School will dismiss at 2:00 PM today, Friday, March 23rd.
Keelee Severson on Saturday and Samantha Ermer on Sunday!
The annual PTA Jog-a-Thon is scheduled for Thursday, March 29th. Each class will take a 1/2 hour turn during the afternoon to run their laps at the Armory. Families are welcome to join their children (contact your child's teacher for the time). The students will bring home a pledge form and envelope on the day of the Jog-a-Thon. The money raised will go toward 'The Outdoor Classroom'. Pledge forms are due back on Thursday, April 5th.

Awards are given to the Top Fundraiser and the Top Lap Runners (Boy and Girl) in each grade.

Students are encouraged to wear shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes on Jog-a-Thon day.

If you own a business and want to sponsor a class, donation forms can be e-mailed to you. If you have questions, you can contact Mary Fosness: mfosness@icloud.com or your child's teacher.

The King's Kids of Christ the King church are having a Fish Fry on Friday, March 23 at the Christ the King parish center from 5-7 pm. Freewill offering will go to fund our summer trip to Sioux Falls.
Webster volleyball camp July 24-26 for grades 4-12 at the Webster Armory. See the attached registration form for more information.
Key Club will be holding their Girls Have Needs fundraiser on Saturday, March 24th from 11:30-1 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Funds raised with be split between Needs Anonymous and the Food Pantry/PACH program. Tickets are available from any Key Club member or at the door for $10 each for the salad luncheon and fashion show.
Due to the weather forecast for today, the performance times for the Dakota Players Play have been adjusted. The production for elementary students will be at 10:00, there will be another performance at 12:45 pm for the families and community members to attend. In the event that the weather would cause a cancellation, there will be a make up performance at 1:00 on Saturday
May is Huntington's Awareness Month and we are going to celebrate our 4th grade student, Maci Olson, on May 1st. Please consider ordering a Team Macie t-shirt and wearing it on May 1st or wear purple to celebrate Maci! Proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go towards Juvenile Huntington's Disease. A walk will be held on May 5th at Seratoma Park in Sioux Falls with registration starting at 8:00 AM. The deadline to order a t-shirt is April 6th by 4 PM. April 13th is Purple Up Day! Show your support of your military kid by wearing purple all day.
Five days will be added to the calendar due to missing school for water issues and weather. At this time the last day for students is 5/25/2018.
Andes Tower Hills Ski Resort near Alexandria, Minnesota is offering Webster Area School students, parents, & faculty a wonderful discount on skiing for March 24th only. Ski rental and lift ticket are only $15, and skiing is from 10 AM to 5 PM. If interested, please stop in the high school or elementary office to pick up a card, which must be presented when skiing on that day. One for each skier.
On Feb. 1st, the school district began utilizing Efunds to accept online payments for lunch accounts and armory key card renewals.

If you would like to make online payments, an account can be created through Efunds which is located under Popular Topics on the school district website. Once an account is created a student can be linked to your account using their five digit student number, first name, and last name. If you do not know your child's five digit student ID number, please contact the Business Office at 345-3548.
Outside restaurant food is not permitted in the commons area during normal lunch periods. If students do not want to eat school prepared meals, they may bring a sack lunch.
Reminder that no student, not on the bus route, may ride the bus without a parent/guardian note to the driver or the parent/guardian contacting Sheyenne Transport to make prior arrangements.
