A play in one act will be performed on Saturday, January 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Webster Area Elementary Gym. This play is presented by the one act play students of Webster Area Middle and High School. There is no charge. Please enter the northwest door.
The play is very serious in nature. It involves a group of former and present substance abusers who are attending their first support group session following the death of one of the group members. The play will also be presented in competition at the Capitol Theater in Aberdeen on Tuesday, January 23 at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Posters must reflect either the theme of Alcohol Awareness and Abuse or Drug Awareness and Abuse. Posters should be 11x17 inches in size and the contestant's name, age, and phone number should be printed on the back of the poster. Entry forms are available in the school office and MUST be submitted with the poster. Contest is open to all youth ages 8-14. Posters are due in the Elementary Office by Fri., Jan. 19. We are accepting nominations for the Webster Area TEACHER of the Year and for the Webster Area SUPPORT STAFF MEMBER of the Year. If you know a teacher or support staff member that goes above and beyond the call of their duties and is worthy of recognition, please complete a nomination form. Forms are available in the Elem/MS Office and the HS Office and are due by February 22nd.
