Tuesday, February 28 - There will be an FCCLA meeting Tuesday, February 28th during homeroom in Miss Duerre's classroom. Anyone signed up to do a STAR Event at State Conference must attend.

Thursday, March 9 -
This will be the date of the next Key Club meeting in the elementary gym.

Wednesday, March 15 - The next Builders Club meeting will be March 15th during homeroom in the elementary gym.

Monday, March 20 - The next FCCLA Meeting will be during homeroom on Monday, March 20th in the FACS room.

Junior High 4A (1:21PM - 1:46PM) / 4B (1:50PM - 2:15 PM)
Students will be dismissed for the wheelchair basketball at 2:15PM.
 
State Wrestling Qualifiers Send Off will be Thursday at 11:30 am in the High School Gym. Parents and community members are welcome to attend!
 
The Blossom Shoppe will have their annual Prom Open House on Wednesday, March 1st from 4:00 - 6:30. There will be a 10% discount for any prom flower and tux orders placed from March 1st - March 4th.
 
Junior Varsity boys basketball players will turn in their practice equipment at the Armory on Thursday, February 23rd immediately after school.
 
There will be NO Junior High wrestling practice after school today.
 
Juniors and Seniors who sold the After Prom raffle tickets - stop in the office to sign up for your choice of meal at the Prom Banquet. Choices are Shrimp Alfredo, Roast Beef with mashed potatoes or Chicken in white sauce with mashed potatoes. Meal choices are due by March 6th.
 
There will be a Track meeting Monday, February 27th after school in Coach Gangle's room for everyone who plans to be in track who does not have practice immediately after school.
 
Track gear order forms are available from Coach Gangle and are due March 1st.
 
The following Key Club students need to remit their Thisty 30 pledges from January as soon as possible: Marcus Block $11, Ty Dunse $25, Jayden Hortness $18, Shyanne McCarlson $22, Haley Rithmiller $9, Tanner Valsvig $23, Olivia Breske $27, and Gabby Snell $2. Pledges should be turned into Brianna Mount as soon as possible.
 
We are now accepting nominations for Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Member of the Year. If you believe a teacher or support staff member has gone above and beyond, touches the lives of others, and promotes our district in a positive manner, nominate him/her. Nomination forms are available in the Elementary/MS office and HS office. Help us recognize those who positively impact our students and school.
 
Junior High Oral Interp begins on Monday, February 27th. Students in grades 6-8 may participate. 6th grade is able to participate in one official meet at Milbank, which has a beginner level and an advanced level as well as local activities/practices. 7th-8th may participate in all meets and activities. Practices will be after school Monday through Thursday in Mrs. Wegleitner's room. Other times before school, HR, or evenings can be arranged by appointment. Students in grade 6-8 that are interested should stop in to visit with Mrs. Wegleitner this week or come directly to practice on Monday, Feb. 27th. Mrs. Wegleitner will be stopping into 6-8 homerooms/classrooms with information this week.

Saturday, March 18th race beginning at 10:30 a.m. Check in at 9:30 a.m.
Race will start and end at the Webster Armory. Registration forms can be picked up at Mikes, Cornwells or R&F. Regular registration is Feb. 15 - March 1st for $25.00 Registration on Race day is $30.00 Runners will receive a t-shirt. Proceeds will go to the Webster German Exchange Program.
 
Webster PTA is pleased to announce....

Everyone is welcome to come and sample delicious foods made by students, parents, teachers & businesses! Hotdog & drink provided.
Adults: $5.00, Students: $2.00, 4 and under: Free. $15 Family Maximum.

FREE Vaccine Clinic: The Day County Health Office is providing a rare opportunity for free Tdap and Meningococcal vaccinations for children 11-18 years old in schools. This one-time project allows them to provide vaccinations at no cost and may not be available again in the future. The clinic is available on Tuesday, March 7th from 1-3 PM. Forms can also be picked up from the nurses office. Consents need to be returned by February 28th to the nurse.
 
Flu season has begun. There has been quite an increase in cases of Influenza in South Dakota over the past few weeks. We have a confirmed case in our school and here are some links to give you some information regarding signs and symptoms of Influenza and how to prevent it. If your child is experiencing any of the symptoms listed please keep them home until symptoms resolve. Also it is not too late to get vaccinated. If you or your child is still in need of an influenza vaccine, you can call the Sanford Clinic in Webster at 345-4141 or the Community Health Nurse at 345-3882.
