Title I - What is it? Here is a quick explanation of our program.

In Webster Area School, Title I is a targeted assistance program. Students who qualify for help are recommended by their teacher from the previous school year through a needs assessment, their current teacher, or by parent recommendation. Those who qualify will come to our room for 20-25 minutes a day for each reading and/or math.

Title I is for children in the regular classroom who need a little extra boost or help in addition to the classroom work in math and/or reading. The classroom teachers send us their weekly lesson plans and we reinforce those same skills in this classroom. Mid-quarter reports are sent home to inform the parent as to what skills we have been working on during that time. We are in close contact with the classroom teachers at all times, and it is they who will be reporting to the parent their child's grades and progress.
Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production, but we encourage you to send any remaining unexpired clips to school.
Box Tops is modernizing the Box Tops program for the next generation of participants. Using mobile technology, they can show families how their contributions impact Webster Area School in real time.
