WAEA invites you to celebrate American Education Week November 18-22 to promote the value of education in our culture and those who contribute to our students' educations. All of the below planned events are for both students and staff, so participate, enjoy, and please promote participation among our students, as well. Thank you for all that you do!

Monday: AEW Kick-Off: Red for Ed: Please wear red to show your support for and pride in being a part of education in our schools.
Tuesday: Parents Day: Staff baby pictures: Check out the picture bulletin boards in the elementary and high school wings and try to guess who's who. *More info to come.*
Wednesday: Education Support Professionals Day: Dress as your favorite super hero to recognize these super heroes in our school. Also, bring a little something extra for the Day County Food Pantry in recognition of all the extra things our ESPs do for our students. Teachers might consider giving extra credit to those who participate. *More info to come.*
Thursday: Educator for a Day: Students dress as teachers, professionals, careers, whatever they want to be when they grow up. Teachers, find ways to involve your students in classroom instruction, invite non-educators to teach or present to your class, etc.
Friday: Substitute Educators Day: Since our "subs" are so important to our school, let's have subs for lunch! The lunchroom will be serving subs, and WAEA is working with Subway subs to hopefully provide subs in the lounges for the staff, as well.

COAT DRIVE!!! Dacotah Bank in Webster and Roslyn is sponsoring a Coat Drive. Please drop off new or gently used coats at either location by November 25th. Coats will be disbursed starting Dec. 3rd at the Day County Food Pantry. Everyone is welcome. Let's share the warmth!
