Due to Ash Wednesday being on 2/26/20, the lunch menu will be cheese pizza, cinnamon apples, salad bar and Milk. The ice cream did not come in.
 
There is No School on Friday, February 28th due to State Wrestling.
 
There will be an informational meeting on Thursday, February 27th at 7:00pm in the Elementary Commons for students in grades 9-12 and their parents regarding the SD State High School Clay Target League. This is your chance to learn more / join the school's team for the fastest growing and safest high school sport in SD.
 
All Juniors and Seniors and their dates need to sign up in the HS Office for their meal choice if attending the Prom Banquet by Friday, March 13th. All out of town and underclassmen dates will need to pay $10 for their meal, due Friday, March 13. There is an envelope in the office for this. All attending After Prom also need to put down their t-shirt size as everyone who attends the After Prom Party will be receiving a shirt. If you don't plan to attend the Banquet, but will be attending the After Prom Party, please sign just your name and t-shirt size.
Meal Choices: Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Lettuce Salad, Dinner Roll, and Cheesecake Dessert OR Creamy Chicken Breast, Mashed Potatoes, Corn, Lettuce Salad, Dinner Roll, and Cheesecake OR Noodles and Alfredo Sauce with Shrimp on the side, Corn, Lettuce Salad, Dinner Roll, and Cheesecake.
 
The Blossom Shoppe will have their annual Prom Open House on Friday, February 28th from 9:00 - 5:00.
 
German Exchange "Shake Your Shamrock" event will be March 14 starting at noon at the armory. Inflatables, coloring contest, corn hole tournament, afternoon classes of fun including dog obedience, succulent creations, chalk couture, personal self protection and the day finishes out with a steak supper. To register for the corn hole tournament, call 881-1755 or 881-9376. To buy an advance steak supper ticket or for more information and to register for a class call 265-0138. Come out and spend the day Shaking your Shamrock with the Webster-Dewangen Student Exchange group and support the exchange!
 
To those who will attend the State Wrestling Tournament from the 27th to the 29th in Sioux Falls, the Denny Sanford Premier Center has a new bag policy which will be enforced during the state wrestling tournament. This policy includes:
** Only 1 bag per ticketed guest
** Bags larger than 4.5" x 6.5" must be clear.
** Bags with Chain Straps are not allowed.
 
Attention Juniors - Don't pass up this opportunity to be a well-informed citizen, meet new friends from all over the State, and the possibility of earning scholarships. This activity is sponsored by the SD American Legion Auxiliary and the Webster unit. The date June 1-6 at USD in Vermillion for the Girls or NSU in Aberdeen for the Boys. Deadline to apply is March 2nd. Girls check your email for apps, boys pick them up in Mrs. Millers office.
 
The City of Webster is taking applications for summer help in the following departments:
Streets, golf clubhouse and groundskeepers, cemetery, parks, ball fields, swimming pool and baseball/softball coordinators. Applications can be obtained from City Hall, 800 Main Street, Webster, 605-345-3241 or by clicking on the employment opportunities tab on Webster's homepage at www.webstersd.com. The City of Webster is an equal opportunity provider and employer. Applications are due March 2, 2020.
 
Driver Education class will be offered for Webster Area students 7th grade or older. 7th graders have to turn 14 before the end of December. Students should get their registration forms in by Feb. 28th. March 2, out of district students will be able to register for the class. Class days are May 26-29, 2020. The school district began utilizing Efunds to accept online payments for lunch accounts and armory key card renewals.

If you would like to make online payments, an account can be created through Efunds which is located under Popular Topics on the school district website. Once an account is created a student can be linked to your account using their five digit student number, first name, and last name. If you do not know your child's five digit student ID number, please contact the Business Office at 345-3548.
